New version on the way - Lite one too

A new version of Train Controller is under review :-)

The game now has an Advanced Warning System (AWS) implemented, where the player will be notified if any of the trains are approaching an incorrectly set point or a buffer without the command to stop at the platform.

The instructions have also been buffed up and reaching a new level will automatically update that level as the next starting one, even if the game is exited before completing the game.

I would like to thank the following people for their help, suggestions and advice:
  • Sharyn Elliot
  • Angela Adamopoulos
  • Lorna Berry
  • James Irving (for the suggestion of the speed modifier button)

A Lite Version is also available which wouldn't be around if it weren't for the passion, level design and tile sets from Marty Ives with the play testing by Mark George, Geoff Wong and the support from the L4D crew.

Train Controller updated

For those of you with the game, you should have been notified that there is an update to the game. No simple bug fixes here (not that there were any...); this is a large overhaul to the graphics of the game, giving each level a distinctive theme. A speed button has also been added to avoid having to wait for the train to make its way "round the houses".
I hope everyone enjoys the update; feedback is always welcome.

Another handy hint

There are three different sound settings; On, Off and Partial.

On and Off are pretty self explanatory, Partial removes the sound of the engine and leaves all the other sounds on.

Couple of handy hints for Train Controller

I thought I would add a couple of handy hints for the Train Controller game here that people may or may not know about.

You can begin the game from any level you have already reached from the Options menu. Just touch 'Tutorial' (initially) at the 'Starting From' menu option. It will advance through each of the levels you have reached so far.

All exasperated (red) passengers get picked up at the same time; so it can be better to leave an out of the way platform to fill up with those passengers; be careful though that the platform doesn't fill up.
